Our forth day in Rome was full of beautiful churches, sweet treats, and iconic sights. Unfortunately, my day began with cold and flu symptoms, so Dr. Bingham and I went to an Italian farmacia and I got to see firsthand how Italians talk to the pharmacist to get what we see as over the counter meds. After taking the meds, we were back on the road and ready to go! We began our day at the San Lorenzo in Lucina, and then made our way to the Palazzo Navona where we rode the carousel! We saw the outside of the Church of St. Agnes and made our way to the church of St. Louis of France, Santa Maria Soprano Minerva, and St. Ivo a la Sapienza. Of course, we couldn’t miss the one and only Pantheon, and the shaved ice coffee at the cafe on the corner! After an unplanned stop at the Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola, we rounded out our day at the famous Trevi Fountain. At this point it began to rain, so we headed home, but couldn’t pass up an opportunity for gelato on the way back, and we saw the Castel Sant’Angelo. Our day was jammed packed with seeing all that Rome has to offer, and personally, I can’t wait for more!
