On the 6th day of our trip we visited San Clemente Church in the morning, which is a Church on top of a church, on top of an ancient cult meeting place. This was a super cool experience because you could go down to each of the levels and see the remains and ruins of each place. After San Clemente, we walked to the Circus Maximus. After the Circus Maximus we went to the Mercato Testacchio where we shopped around and had lunch! I had a Chino drink, which is flavored with chinotto, a cirtus fruit native to Italy. It is very sweet at first and has a bitter aftertaste and I really liked it! After the market, we walked to the Baths of Caracalla and walked around the ruins of this ancient bathing complex. This was an open place with many benches and gave me time to sit, relax, take in all of the ruins and reflect. After the Baths, we went to the Mouth of Truth and to the place of Caesar's death where a cat colony is. Then we headed back to Casa Valdese for dinner! It was a great day with lots of walking!
