Dallas's Day Two in Rome

Day 2:

We had a fun-packed day with a four-hour tour of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum as well as a visit to the Capitoline Museum. It was a beautiful way to experience all the history we have been learning about in class. Our tour guide, Thomas, talked about how appearance reflects nature, particularly in Ancient Rome. As we walked through the Colosseum, this became very evident. The technology that they used was amazingly advanced and the view was breathtaking. However, the events we discussed that occurred in the Colosseum further secured the Emperor's rule and reminded the Roman people of the power at play. From the Palatine we overlooked the Roman Forum which was breathtaking. We got to see the remains of the Vestal Virgins Temple.
Later we went to the Capitoline Museum which was beautiful! There was so much to see, and we definitely could've wandered around it for days.
