After nearly 10 hours of flying we have finally made it to Rome. Greeted by cigarette smoke and friendly baggage boys, we first headed to Casa Valdese to refresh for our first excursion out on the streets. Some highlights of the trek include the Piazza Calvour, the esteemed Spanish Steps, the Stars of Via Margutta, and The Piazza del Popolo where we were just in time (not really) for a Christmas tree lighting. Afterwards, we were diluted by the “popolo” and forced to split and meet back at the hotel. There, we were fed a delicious meal including pasta and fried fish. Jonas and I decided to skip dessert and venture out to the streets of Rome once more. Attached is a picture of a building we came across (still trying to figure out what it was). Tomorrow is a full day and we’ll be going to see many of the most famous buildings in Rome such as the Colosseum. Until then…
