Hannah’s Day 5 in Rome

Good afternoon America! Time is absolutely fantastic so far. Today we did so many fun things. We took the subway to San Clemente which turned out to be easy to navigate. San Clemente was absolutely beautiful. We got to explore the church and the underground area. This was one of my favorite parts of the day because I absolutely love churches and exploring them. We then trecked our way to Circo Massimo and the Mercato Testaccio. We walked around the Circo Massimo and talked about all the races that happened there. We then decided to have a race of our own. I lost pretty badly but it was fun so it doesn’t really matter. The Circo Massimo is similar to church hill downs in Louisville! The Mercato Testaccio was very fun as well. It was similar to Logan street market but much cooler (as many things are here). We got pizza at the market and it was very good. We then went to the Baths of Caracalla. It was way bigger than anyone expected and was very peaceful. Many of the floors are still intact which is amazing to look at. We took the bus to where Cesar was killed to see all the cats that live there. We found one nice one that only had three legs. I tried to put him in my pocket and take him back to the hotel but he wouldn’t fit :( we then went to an English book store and then took the bus home. Peace and love- Hannah
